Crisp White & Leather

Tuesday 29 March 2016
I have been soooo lazy this past week with my blog I have been super busy and have completely pushed my blog to the side. I hate when I forget to upload my posts, I feel so un organised. So this week I need to keep my content up and not be such a lazy ass. I hope everyone has had a lovely Easter and a nice relaxing long weekend, sucks right now not being in bed!!!!  Ahh the return of the cropped biker, braving my jacket in this weather was a risky decision but it was a risk I was willing to take because it just looked so damn cute! You cant go wrong with a crisp white shirt and leather jacket, its the perfect combo. Its smart and its chic. A white shirt is such a must for any girls wardrobe, they are so versatile and can be dressed up and dressed down. I sported my white shirt with my cropped Zara biker, Zara biker leggings, Zara barely there heels and a Chanel le boy bag. Unfortunately these heels are super old from Zara so I don't know what to link :(

Spring Faves

Friday 18 March 2016
Ahhh Spring ! I know I know I can't stop going on about it, the sunny weather is making me super excited to start prepping my summer wardrobe! Before I think about getting started on that I need to update some of my beauty products to get going with the flow. The products I have picked out have defiantly made their way into my spring beauty bag and I am beyond excited to share them with you!

I am going to start with this glorious product by St. Tropez called Gradual Tan Tinted. As we are coming into spring its time to ditch the  chunky jumpers and maybe show a little leg if your feeling brave, and you can swap that dry winter skin behind with this beauty of a product! This product is definitely one of my favourites that St. Tropez have produced, the formula is quite thick and very creamy and keeps your skin feeling super hydrated. I love the fact this is tinted. Its makes it so much easier to apply and leaves you with a effortless golden glow. When applying I definitely would wait 10 minutes to let it soak in as it can transfer onto bedding, clothes etc. (This does come out in wash, just a tip!) This tan leaves you feeling hydrated and a beautiful golden bronze and a bonus is that is almost makes your skin look airbrushed!

My second product would have to be castor oil, this is a god send! If you have problems with growing out your brows you need this in your life. I apply a small amount of this on my brows and lashes before I go to sleep and it seems to be working a delight! My brows are growing much faster and thicker and my lashes look longer. I am going to continue to use this and hopefully grow a nice bushy (but tamed) brow for summer! Its mega cheap and you can purchase here Shop Here!
And finally some cute summer colours for your nails! Having your nails painted perfectly is so important ladies, chips are such a no go. Plain nails are okay if kept short and tidy, make sure you your nails always look pretty! I am really into nudes and peachy pinks atm they look fab with a tan. Nude is great because it pretty much goes with everything and there's nothing wrong with a lovely bright colour to add some fun to your outfit. The OPI Colour is called 'Step right up' and the Revlon is called 'Dazzle' OPI Revlon

Just As Good As Chocolate

Tuesday 15 March 2016
I am defiantly going through an eye shadow phase at the moment, I did some research online to try and find some of the best eye shadows and I was led to this beautiful brand called Zoeva. I found a stunning palette called cocoa blend and I just had to have it! The colours on this pallet are so warm and shimmery, I couldn't wait for it to arrive. I ordered it from beauty bay as the shipping was so much cheaper and I could have it here by the next day. The pallet its self is priced at £15.50 and the shipping was £2.50. When it arrived on Saturday morning I was soooo excited I took it out the box and It honestly looked good enough to eat! The shades are similar to chocolate, truffles, nougats and marzipans. This palette is a limited edition and if I were you I would grab your hands on it ASAP! How can you say no to chocolate inspired eye shadow? Its like every girls dream. I was super impressed with the pigmentation of all of the colours my favourite is defiantly 'Warm Ganache' its almost a warm peach/gold which looks stunning on the eye. The colours are a dream to blend! I would recommend this palette to anyone who loves a warm bronze look, it's absolutely stunning.

All Hail Kiko!

Thursday 10 March 2016
I am guessing that most of you have heard of Kiko Milano (the cosmetic store). If you haven't where the hell have you been! I am guilty of walking past this store so many times and not entering because I didn't know what the hell it even was. When I entered for the very first time I didn't really have any idea of where to look. It was foundation upon bronzers upon nail varnish upon lipstick and everything your makeup bag desires. I have previously brought some eye shadows in there before which have had a strong pigment and are easy to blend. After reading online I came across the Universal Fit Foundation by Kiko and was eager to try it as the reviews spoke very highly and it was priced at only £6.90. I went in to pick up my Foundation and ended up coming out with more products than planned but at how cheap and nice these products were it would've been foolish not to!

The foundation is lovely it's much better than expected! For such an amazing price point, this foundation is perfect for all the makeup lovers that still want that beautiful flawless finish without being overbearing on the skin. my skin always feel super hydrated, which is why I love this product so much. A lot of us wouldn't realise how much our skin can change on a daily basis and it is so important to have a foundation wardrobe. This shade matches my skin perfectly but I can still build on the colour with bronzer or powders.
Ok let's talk about these eye shadows... OMG! first and foremost I must start off with the price...£2.80 yes that is correct can you actually believe it. When I first tried Kiko's eye shadows I was super sceptical about how they would blend and if they would be pigmented enough. My doubts disappeared within a second! They have such a range of colours It's like a rainbow of glitter and shimmers. I saw these 2 colours and instantly fell in love. I went for the Infinity + 402 (Glitter one) and the Infinity 210 (Matte soft brown/red). Both of these eye shadows blended together to create a beautiful brown smokey eye that can be instantly transformed into the perfect day to night look
Finally a smart nude lipstick in 901 and a smart lip pencil in the colour 700, my lipstick collection is just a bunch of nude/soft pink colours. I am obsessed with the perfect nude lipstick, I am sure Aleks thinks I am crazy when I sit there pondering what one will go with my makeup. He always sits there so confused exclaiming "they are all the same colour!!!!" And i'm like... "YOUR NOT A GIRL YOU DONT UNDERSTAND!!!" Boys ayeee! The lipstick is fabulous its super hydrating and such a georgus shade of nude. I have also included a Essie nail  varnish in the shade 'not just a pretty face' such a beautiful spring colour!

Hope you enjoyed reading, more to come soon! Love GC Xxx

New Season New Skin

Tuesday 8 March 2016
Spring is right around the corner and oh how excited we all must be, new season new skin! It would be time to ditch them heavy foundations that we all cling to during those cold winter months and use something more light and refreshing! I must say I am a big fan of contouring the hell out of my face on a night out but in the day time its just not needed. Its extremely time consuming, I would much rather have extra time snoozing in bed than defying my cheek bones! My favourite look is definitely the dewy natural skin look, you honestly cant beat it. As Spring is right under our noses I want to list my favourite products that give me that dewy healthy glow!
My recent hero product would have to be the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer this stuff is literally a dream! I'm so happy that my boyfriends sister introduced this into my life. Its so light and dewy and it gives you that natural glowy skin look without coating your face in highlighter. Its perfect for day to day wear and its such a nice colour match. Tinted Moisturizer
If you feel like you really cant part from your winter foundation just yet (I have these days too!) I recommend using the Illamasqua Satin Finish Primer. This is great for wearing underneath your foundation it gives a great dewy finish onto the skin and your skin oozes radiance. Satin Primer
Ah The Soleil Tan De Chanel! This is very slowly creeping onto my face day by day. I apply this onto my freshly moisturized skin with a touch of concealer and blend it in. It gives a really healthy summer natural glow and feels light and not cakey. I am so excited to use this on top of a natural tan in the summer and look sun kissed! Bronzing cream

One of my oldest go-to products is my Nars Orgasm Illuminator. This stuff is a godsend in my eyes! There are a lot of mixed reviews online about this saying its not pigmented enough and it isn't a strong illuminator. This is why I love this product so much its subtle, Shimmery and so seductive! It gives you more of a sun kissed glow rather than looking like the lights on a Christmas tree. I got mine last year in February time and I still have a fair bit left. Its a very good long lasting product. I am excited to try a new a new shade I think I will go for The Laguna shade! Illuminator
Another golden oldie would have to be my Nars Radiant Creamy concealer in Custard. Have been using this for around 2 years now and I've never changed concealer, I have tried a range of different concealers and never found one that compares to my hero Nars. Its luxuriously smooth and blends so perfectly and leaves a natural finish. I also love the yellow undertones that this concealer has perfect for if your skin has that awkward shade of red/pink Radiant Concealer
To complete this look I normally add just a light touch of mascara, some powder to my brows and a natural lipstick. My fave lipstick is defiantly The Yves Saint Laurent - Rouge Volpute Shine. Its a soft pink that is super hydrating and leaves your lips feeling supper glossy and luscious. YSL Lipstick

Bonjour Mademoiselle

Monday 7 March 2016
OMG Moment! I am totally obsessed with my new book 'How to be Parisian: Wherever you are' I may be kind of late with this but as my nan always said...better late than never! Before it even got here I was majorly excited and couldn't wait to bury my head in it. I started reading and from the first few pages I was in love yes that's right in love with a book. I was definitely channeling my inner Blair Waldorf whilst reading this when she moves to Paris for the summer! This book is supposed to sound ridiculously pretentious and snobbish and that's why you don't take it too seriously but that is what is important! It shares the message of not taking yourself too seriously! It oozes sex appeal and effortless chic and provides a good laugh. Its a very short book but its great for whenever you just feel like you want some inspiration or just fancy a giggle. The book made me want to turn off my phone, grab a latte in a small coffee shop on the street and just have some me time and not be connected to the outside world of social media. As pretentious as this book is it also teaches you that no one is perfect and even these 'Parisian women' have their issues even though they may come across fabulous! The book is sassy, insouciant and reading it automatically made me feel more Parisian! If you love a short read and are into style, love and life then please get this book. It also looks super cute on my dressing table!
Hope you enjoyed reading! Love GC Xxx
