Back At It

Wednesday 26 October 2016
Well well well look who's back! How long has it been this time? 4 bloody months! To be honest this summer I completely neglected my blog and just had a wild crazy couple of months and made the most of the warm weather. SOOO much has changed since I've been on here and life is constantly throwing shit in my way but as my ma always said when life gives you lemons made lemonade (or just have a triple vodka lemonade). I have made a vow to keep up my blog and keep the content flowing, its much easier said than done and juggling work, seeing friends and blogging proves quite difficult. BUT I'm back and hopefully this time I'm back for good.
Autumn is here and I'm super excited for big coats, chunky boots , bold sunnies and good old turtlenecks. So here it is my first autumn post I hope you all enjoy! X

Make up Faves - July

Monday 25 July 2016
How on earth is it July already?!?! I'm sitting at my desk wondering where half of the year has vanished, before you know it we will all be Christmas bloody shopping! Any who like I mentioned in one of my previous posts I have recently brought lots of new makeup and have been trying to add some new bits into my makeup bag. The biggest look for me is the dewy bronzed look, you cant beat it! Its natural and so beautiful, I try to go for this look on a day to day basis. I have picked out my favourite products that I use day to day that give me that dewy and radiant look.

My all time fave foundation would have to be the Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation,  I am yet to find a foundation that beats this. I am looking to try the Chantecaille Future skin foundation but ill grab that next month cause I am a broke ass bitch atm haha. Luminous silk is the perfect foundation for me id say its light to medium coverage and its buildable and so subtle. Its like applying a layer of silk onto your skin, its fabulous sweetie darling!!! The foundation lasts up to 4/6 months for me depending how much I use, a little goes a long way and I always get compliments on my skin when I wear this. I wear shade 6.25 which is a beautiful soft tan shade with yellow under tones.  Priced at £37 Shop here
A new fave of mine that has wormed its way into my beauty bag is Mac Face & Body foundation in shade C3,I heard some good things about its light weight, dewy formula so I had to get my makeup obsessed hands on it! Love love love it, its lovely and light and has a glowy finish. If you are looking for something that has a really light coverage and acts like a second skin then this is a really great foundation for that. If you are looking for something heavier I would avoid, even though its buildable I think this would require a lot of layers! I went for a C3 as I wanted a warm yellow undertone. You can get 120ml that's priced at £29 which is amazing as it lasts so long! Shop here

I'm have an obsessive habit of mixing Mac strobe cream into my foundation every single day, I literally cannot stop! It adds a subtle glow to any foundation and makes your foundation glide on beautifully. I love this stuff it makes my skin radiant and gives me that dewy finish which I adore. Every girl needs this cream it changes lives, 100% recommend this! Priced at £24.50 Shop here
I am murder around a highlighter or illuminator, you cant beat them. Luminously glowing skin, who would say no to that! My all time fave is Nars Orgasm Illuminator but I am always up for trying new products and one that got my attention is the Good to Glow - Soho Glow by Rimmel. I saw this on Alessandra Steinherrs snapchat and was eager to try it as her skin is literally a dream and always looks like its glowing.  It comes in three shades Soho Glow - a bronzed shimmer, Piccadilly Glow a coral glow and Notting hill Glow and pearl glow. I opted for the Soho as I loved that sun kissed glow it gave off. I'm deffo more of a liquid highlighter kinda gal, they look so natural and airbrushed! I am always open to try new ones so if anyone has any recommendation please do comment below!Shop here
Hoola bronzer was my go-to when I was in school It was the bomb, I'm sure 80% of my friends had it. It was actually the first bit of 'expensive' make up I purchased (Well my mum got it for me haha thanks ma!) For some reason I stopped using it and completely forgot about it. About a month ago I was after a new bronzer and I crossed the Benefit counter and I literally had an epiphany! WHY did I ever stop using it, the colour is literally a soft golden brown that looks divine. Shop here

Hope you enjoyed! Love GC Xx

Summer Tan Situation

Wednesday 15 June 2016
Naturally tanned glowy skin is something I think everyone longs for but living in England its something that is just so far out of our reach. Of course you can go on sunbeds and cheat that way but for me my skin doesn't take very well to them so I've been trying to avoid them and also avoiding the dangers that come with using them. If your lucky and you catch the sun super easy and have that beautiful glow then I envy you ALOT. I am a bit of a tan maniac and I love trying new products. I have tried a few bits recently and I was super happy with the results so please enjoy my summer tan situation that I have got going on!

Ok so before any kind of tanning whether it be a spray tan or at home tan you must must must EXFOLIATE. This is key, exfoliating will remove dead or dry skin so you wont get dark patches and tan wont cling to the dry skin. I use St Tropez Body Polish, this is not oil based so you don't have to worry about the tan not taking to your skin. I normally do this the day before and shave, I apply with the St Tropez Exfoliating mit. Shop Polish  Shop Mit I forgot to take pictures of this as I am a dimwit! Apologies.
Now the exciting bits TAN BABY TAN! In the summer I deffo prefer a nice gradual tan that you can keep on building that looks natural and still keeps your skin hydrated. Its also perfect for holiday because it doesn't sweat off and you can get away with it being au natural! These two tans I've chose are really doing it for me at the moment, one of them I was pretty much obsessed with and then I couldn't find it in store for a while (Devastated) I later found out that it was basically restaged into the Dove Derma Spa range. So bloody happy I found this for me its the ultimate summer glow and its the perfect grad tan for holiday! It smells lovely and the colour is buildable and it comes in fair to medium skin or medium to dark skin! Its priced at just £4 in Superdrug right now. Shop here!

My second tan product that is a new found love is Vita Liberata Fabulous Self Tanning Gradual Lotion. I got a small little 30ml Tube of this and was mega excited to try and I can 100% guarantee I will be going to get the big tub! This tan is so stress free I applied before I went to bed let it soak in for about 5 minutes and hoped for the best. I woke up with a completely even streak free tan and no stained bed sheets (YASSSS BITCH) I felt obliged to wear a dress to work because my tan was popping I was like a golden goddess, couldn't believe how natural but stunning the colour was. I had about 3 people compliment my tan that day so I was like hell yeaaaah I'm so getting this for Barcelona.Shop here

My newest edition to my glowy skin is the NUXE Huile Prodigieuse OR Multi-Usage Dry Oil - Golden Shimmer. I am beyond excited to use this on holiday its like the perfect body shimmer oil. Its not greasy and it doesn't stick to clothes. The shimmer is stunning and makes you look like your glowing. Shop here
Lastly I am trying out this Elemis Tan Accelerator, the product claims to help you tan better by stimulating the pigment in your skin. You apply it every day for 1-2 weeks before you go away, I am yet to find out if this actually works. My only problem with this is that I'm pretty sure it would run out so quickly as you are covering your whole body? I will defiantly do a review after my holiday.Shop here

Updated Skin Routine

Tuesday 14 June 2016
So summer is finally here...well I could beg to differ. Not too sure what to think about this weather atm, its all a bit stressful! The humidity has got my hair all over the place and my morning struggle of deciding what to wear is becoming the bane of my life! But HEY HO this is England and its the norm. Whilst I've been  less-active from my blog I've been trying lots of new skin products and makeup products (Looking to add a new fave makeup post soon!) A change of season means a change of skin care, I've been trying and testing a whole bunch of skin products and I have finally got my summer skin routine and its divine, my skin is literally glowing! For me step 1 to having good skin is to STOP using face wipes I'm no skin expert but they really are the devil!!! They don't clean your pores they just wipe off the top layer of your makeup leaving behind most of it. I must admit though I am guilty of using a face wipe when I have came in drunk and its been the easiest option but I have got better with using a cleanser instead and you do notice a huge difference. I use this skin routine every morning and night so please enjoy my step by step guide and hopefully some or all of the products work for you.

Step 1.
I love a good oil cleanser they work like a dream and literally dissolve your makeup! My number 1 oil cleanser has to be L'Oreal Skin Perfect Cleansing Oil this stuff is crazy you use the smallest bit and your makeup literally glides off your face with 0 fuss. A little goes a long way with this and it is very greasy so don't over do it! I normally use 2-3 cotton wool pads with one squirt each and gently remove all the makeup. I then use luke warm water to wash off the excess oil.  Priced at £6 Shop here!!
Step 2.
This step is a 3 step cleanse which may seem long winded but it really is so worth it! I got the La Roche Posay Effaclar Anti-Blemish System from Boots which is on offer so I would grab it as soon as possible! The first step is the purifying foaming gel which I just rub all around my face with my fingers. This will remove any excess makeup that the oil didn't reach. I wash this off with luke warm water. The second step is the clarifying toner I add a few squirts onto a cotton pad and gently rub all around my face. The third step is the anti-blemish cream I use a small squirt and apply on my face with 2 fingers. Prices at £24 Shop here!
Step 3.
Right before bed I love to apply Crème de la Mer all over my face. I try not to use this everyday as it is not cheap and will make your bank account probably scream at you for buying it! Nether the less its an amazing cream and if you have dry skin I cant recommend this enough. Its a super thick cream that smells lovely. A little goes a long way with this so it does last a long time. Whenever I use this without fail I wake up in the morning and my skin is super hydrated, firm and dewy.  If you want to splash out on some good moisturiser this is definitely one of my faves! Priced at £108 Shop here

Step 4. Mask
That's my normal skin routine and I love to chuck in a mask every now and then and at the moment I'm loving the Perricone MD - Chloro Plasma Mask. I use this maybe once twice a week depending on how my skin is. The cream states to Specifically targets loss of radiance, dull and fatigued skin, enlarged pores, fine lines, rough skin texture. After I use this my skin always feels super smooth and looks very radiant and pores minimised! So for me this mask is a winner and it smells really good and fresh. I Massage onto cleansed skin in small circular motions until colour transforms to a dark green. I then Leave on for 5 – 10 minutes and rinse off with warm water and feel super duper fresh after! Priced at £69 Shop here!

I am looking to use a different mask every now and then and have been having a look at some in Space NK if anyone has any recommendations please comment!
Lots of love GC Xxx

Oh So Chic!

Sunday 3 April 2016
Gaaaaaad I am so exhausted this week, my body clock feels wrecked from the time off at Easter. Work has been the biggest struggle and I am coming down with the flu. Great. A huge positive is that FINALLLLY Aleks is back from his vacation so I wont be seeing any more snap chats of him in paradise which made my days drag like a bitch. (I sound really mean and jealous, I know) I was so busy during the Easter period I was working mainly, going to the gym, meeting up with friends for food and shopping constantly. I went to this little restaurant called CAU in Blackheath on Wednesday with a good friend of mine. I literally love this place! Its such a cute spot to go and grab lunch or dinner. The food is so lovely and reasonably priced, and the cocktail menu is superior I enjoyed a popping candy martini (v fancy) Thought I would slip that into this post as I didn't take any pictures but I would highly recommend!
Right enough side tracking back to what I was planning to blog about. Ohhh soooo chic! I was feeling my outfit so much in these pictures haha I felt very sassy. I haven't had a chance to even blog this booties that I purchased on Asos, I love them so much but I'm not going to lie, they hurt. I am a big moaner when it comes to shoes so now I do kind of regret buying them but they're just so cute that I don't care! I sported one of my all time fave jumpers from Primark with a black skirt from h&m. This jumper has served me so well its the cosiest thing I actually own and looks so nice with everything and it was only £12. I completed the outfit with a black fedora (which I lost over easter...fuming) and a cute Chanel Le Boy bag.

I cant find any of the items online but i will try and find similar ones!

Hope you enjoyed reading! Lots of Love GC Xxx

Crisp White & Leather

Tuesday 29 March 2016
I have been soooo lazy this past week with my blog I have been super busy and have completely pushed my blog to the side. I hate when I forget to upload my posts, I feel so un organised. So this week I need to keep my content up and not be such a lazy ass. I hope everyone has had a lovely Easter and a nice relaxing long weekend, sucks right now not being in bed!!!!  Ahh the return of the cropped biker, braving my jacket in this weather was a risky decision but it was a risk I was willing to take because it just looked so damn cute! You cant go wrong with a crisp white shirt and leather jacket, its the perfect combo. Its smart and its chic. A white shirt is such a must for any girls wardrobe, they are so versatile and can be dressed up and dressed down. I sported my white shirt with my cropped Zara biker, Zara biker leggings, Zara barely there heels and a Chanel le boy bag. Unfortunately these heels are super old from Zara so I don't know what to link :(
